Coronavirus (COVID-19) Update

    03.12.20 | News by Benny Tate

    Dear Friends,

    Greetings and I trust you are well! With the public concerns regarding the spread of the coronavirus (COVID-19), I want you to know we have heightened awareness and concern in all of our Rock Springs Church facilities. Our team is very intentional about providing a clean and safe environment for you and your family. In response to public concerns, we have enhanced our cleaning procedures specifically through expanding our cleaning staff. Our staff is focused on cleaning all areas, with high-touch areas being of particular concern. We certainly want everyone to practice hand washing frequently in addition to other preventative measures. At this time the CDC has announced that the overall risk to the public is still extremely low.

    I would also like to remind you that God has not given us the spirit of fear (2 Timothy 1:7). Fear is from the enemy - God gives us His Word to remind us that He is in control. Here’s a great reminder from Isaiah 43:1-3:

    1

    But now, this is what the Lord says—
        he who created you, Jacob,
    he who formed you, Israel:
    “Do not fear, for I have redeemed you;
    I have summoned you by name; you are mine.

    When you pass through the waters,
    I will be with you;
    and when you pass through the rivers,
    they will not sweep over you.
    When you walk through the fire,
    you will not be burned;
    the flames will not set you ablaze.

    For I am the Lord your God,
    the Holy One of Israel, your Savior;
    I give Egypt for your ransom,
    Cush and Seba in your stead.

     I do think we have a Great Enemy and I also believe it is ironic this is happening now, only one month before the greatest evangelistic day in the history of Christianity…that of course being Easter! Yes, Satan knows his time is short. (Rev. 12:12) Remember, we are people of faith not fear. Your support for Christ and His church is appreciated.

    Thank you for your faithfulness,

    Pastor Benny
