The Potter's House
The Potter’s House is a 501(C)3 non-profit corporation, dedicated to helping women that have had dysfunctional lives. It is a Christian discipleship program rather than a drug and/or alcohol rehabilitation program. The Word of God tells us that we are transformed by the renewing of our minds; therefore, our purpose at the Potter’s House is to teach the ladies the truths of the Bible and allow God’s thoughts to replace the old patterns of stinking thinking. For six months, the ladies are immersed in the Word of God, in prayer, and in Christian fellowship with many people from many different churches. They truly are transformed as the Lord works daily in their lives, shaping and molding them into the image of Christ.

Our program is totally free to the residents; everything is furnished and paid for by God’s people in different churches. However, after the first six months, the ladies can stay an additional six months, at which time we will help them get a job and a vehicle. Someone works with them to open up a checking and savings account and set up a budget. They are required, during this phase, to tithe 10%, to pay 10% rent , and to keep only enough money to buy their necessities. The rest must go into a savings account to be used when they move out. Through all this process, our ladies are prepared to become productive citizens in our society.

The ladies have a meeting with the housemother each morning from 10:00 am to 11:00 am. Then from 2:00pm to 4:00 pm the ladies have an exhaustive Bible study time with the founder of the Potter’s House.
